Chronicle of the Activity, 2009

Day One

COCOA BEACH, Fla. -- After all the students and staff had arrived, they went to the Patrick Air Force Base dining hall for dinner. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious. Following dinner, they went to the Video Teleconference room (VTC) which will be the classroom for the activity. Here, Maj. Paul Dickinson, the Activity Director, introduced the members of the staff and the activity itself. Then, to break the ice, he had the cadets introduce themselves, telling something that they felt was important to themselves.

“I want to have lots of fun, and learn what the 45th Space Wing is all about,” said Cadet 2nd Lt. Graham Neville.

Free time followed the introduction, as cadets and staff were released to settle into their rooms and get ready for tomorrow.

For sure, it’s going to be a great nine days.
